Which size fits which room?
The right rug size depends on the furniture that sits on it, not only on the room. As a rule, the rug should be large enough for at least the front legs of your seating, or for the chairs at a dining table when they are pulled out.
- 200 x 300 cm, navy: a living room with a three-seater sofa, a loveseat and a coffee table, a dining table for six, or under the lower part of a queen or king bed.
- 250 x 350 cm, red: a larger living room with a full sofa set, a dining table for eight, or a king bedroom with space at the sides of the bed.
- 400 x 500 cm, sage green: an open-plan room or great room, where the rug holds the whole seating area together.

How do you choose the colour?
Start with the largest piece in the room, usually the sofa or the bed, and pick a rug that either matches it calmly or contrasts with it on purpose.
- Navy and gold works well with cream, grey, beige and gold-finished furniture.
- Red with a cream medallion gives a warm, traditional look and stands out under light or neutral furniture.
- Sage green with gold is soft and calm, and suits open rooms with light walls and natural wood.

Why a low pile is practical
A 1 cm pile is short enough that dining chairs slide easily and doors clear the rug, and crumbs, sand and pet hair sit on the surface where the vacuum can reach them. Care is simple:
- Vacuum once or twice a week, without a beater bar.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean cloth and mild soapy water. Do not rub.
- Avoid bleach and strong chemical cleaners.
- Rotate the rug every few months, so sunlight and foot traffic spread evenly.
- Use a rug pad on hard floors to stop slipping.

Pickup from our showroom is always free. A rolled rug is about as long as its shorter side, so the 200 x 300 cm rug rolls to about 2 m, the 250 x 350 cm to about 2.5 m and the 400 x 500 cm to about 4 m. Check the space in your vehicle before you come, especially for the largest rug.
A rug on its own is under our $1,000 free-delivery amount, so delivery inside the City of Hamilton is a flat $49 per order. Add the rug to an order with a sofa set or a bed and, once your order reaches $1,000, delivery is free for everything in it. Our own team brings it into the room, and pieces in stock usually arrive in 1–3 business days. We deliver inside the City of Hamilton only.
